Location of the Apo Island

 

aposhoreA small volcanic island named Apo Island is located seven kilometer off the southeastern tip of Negros Province in the Philippines. Located five kilometers off the coast of Dauin in southern negros Oriental.

It is twenty kilometers from Dumaguete City, Province of Negros Oriental and can be reached by a thirty-minute boat ride from the fishing and market village of Malatapay, Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental.

The drive to Zamboanguita from Dumaguete is around forty-five minutes in a car. A half-hour roadtrip takes you south to Malatapay--the take off point, where a pumpboat will whisk you off to Apo Island for another half-hour.

Walk through the island's beautiful village on your way to the marine sanctuary, where the snorkeling experience is at its best.

Discover the Apo Island white sand beaches, clear aquamarine waters, its beautiful coral reefs and diverse marine life.
